Johnston Real Estate Services is a full-service retail real estate company formed by Bruce Johnston, who enjoyed a 21-year tenure with The Macerich Company as a leasing executive. The company's goal is to assist retailers, developers, property owners and institutional investors with specific transactions as well as strategic planning for the future of their companies or assets.

We have more than two decades of experience that includes: individual and multi-unit leasing transactions; property remerchandising and repositioning; financial analysis; and wide-ranging industry relationships. Therefore, we have the knowledge and skills to create value in each and every transaction.

While at The Macerich Company, Bruce was directly involved in the leasing of over 14 Regional Centers and their associated strip centers, "box" sites and offices. This experience spanned the West Coast, and included various types of centers from open air to enclosed malls and luxury to moderate pricepoints.

Current and former Owner/ Developer clients include: Fulcrum Property Group; Arden Fair Mall; and Shea Properties. Current and former retail clients include Aritzia LP; Sarku Japan; David M. Brian; Davidson & Licht Jewelers and Pacific Coast Restaurants. JRES is also currently performing retail feasibility studies for The City of Morgan Hill, CA under a Subconsulting Agreement with RBF Consulting.
